How to Care for Your Concrete Countertops
Concrete countertops are a durable and beautiful addition to any home, but like any natural material, they require a little care to keep them looking their best.
Daily Cleaning
For everyday cleaning, a mild dish soap and warm water are your best friends. Avoid using harsh, abrasive cleaners or scrubbers that can damage the sealer. A soft sponge or microfiber cloth is perfect.
Dealing with Stains
While our high-quality sealers provide excellent resistance to stains, it's always best to wipe up spills as soon as they happen. Acidic substances like lemon juice, vinegar, or wine can etch the surface if left for too long. If you do notice a spot, simple pH-neutral cleaners are usually enough to resolve it.
Long-Term Maintenance
Over time, your countertops may develop a patina—a slight change in luster or color that adds character. If you prefer the original look, we offer resealing services to bring back that "day one" shine.
Heat Resistance
Concrete is heat resistant, but extreme thermal shock can cause issues. We recommend using trivets for boiling hot pots and pans, just to be safe.
With proper care, your concrete countertops will be a stunning centerpiece in your home for decades to come.
